There is an official update available for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P5100 whose code named is BUCLL1 Android 4.1.1 firmware. Step 1: Open Odin and reboot your camera so as to enter it in Download Mode. To do so, when you camera is OFF, press and hold the Volume Up + Power buttons together until you see the construction Android robot and a triangle, then press Power button again to enter into Download Mode.
Step 2: Now, connect your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 to the PC via original USB cable i.e. the cable that came with it.
Step 3: On successful connection of your camera to the PC the ID: COM section in Odin will turn Yellow.
Step 4: Now, click on:
- “PDA” button and choose the file with “CODE” in its name.
- “Phone” and select file with “MODEM” in its name. (Ignore if no such file found.)
- “CSC” and select file with “CSC” in its name. (Ignore if no such file found.)
- “PIT” and select the “.pit” file. (Ignore if no such file found.)
Step 5: Ensure that in Odin, the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are selected. The Re-Partition option should only be checked if you selected a .PIT file above.
Step 6: Now, click on “Start” button from Odin to begin the flashing process.
Step 7: When the installation process has completed, your device will automatically reboot.
Step 8: Now, root the camera again click on “PDA” button and then choose the “CF-Auto-Root-espresso10rf-espresso10rfxx-gtp5100.zip” file you’ve downloaded and extracted earlier.
Step 9: Next, click on “Start” to begin the flashing process.
Step 10: As soon as the installation process has completed, your device will automatically reboot.
Step 11: To ensure whether your device has been rooted or not, you can seek help from the “Root Checker” app.
